Karen Standefer

Karen has been working in accounting most of her life, and recently came from public accounting to work with the amazing team at C1 in the fall of 2022. She grew up in New Mexico, then graduated from Texas Tech with dual degrees in Accounting and Finance and has lived in Texas ever since. Karen married her college sweetheart and they have two boys and live in East Texas on their land in their (almost) tiny home, along with their two dogs, chickens, and resident wildlife.

Outside of work, you can find Karen gardening, camping, boating, fishing, hiking, or traveling with her family. She also loves supporting her boy’s academics and hobbies, has served many years on the PTA and is an Honorary Lifetime Member of Texas PTA.
